iPod touch 4th gen: iTunes music sync fails after restore

I have an old ipod touch 4th generation. It wasn't working and it forced me to restore it and now I cannot sync my iTunes music library to it. That's all I need it for, to listen to music.

To fix your iPod touch 4th generation after a restore, make sure "Sync Library" is turned off on your computer, check the Sync Music box in your device settings tab, and click Apply. If it still fails, use an authentic 30-pin data cable and restart both devices.
