Reduced Facebook landscape view after update

Hi, since the most recent update I now have a reduced view on Facebook (it’s not them, i checked) ie the data is in middle of screen on landscape view., my preferred view, with blank areas on both sides, plus it cuts off the right side part of all text etc.

ive tried all the suggested ways on googling problem. See attached screenshot., Zoom, etc and nothing works. Is this a glitch caused by uodate?

This reduced landscape view issue in Facebook after an iPadOS update is a known compatibility problem where Facebook's app layout doesn't properly adapt to iPadOS 26's new display handling. Here are steps to resolve it:

1. Force quit and restart Facebook:

- Swipe up from the bottom to open the app switcher

- Swipe away the Facebook card

- Reopen Facebook

2. Clear Facebook app cache:

- Go to Settings > General > iPad Storage

- Find Facebook and tap on it

- Tap "Offload App" (this clears cache without deleting data)

- Reinstall Facebook from the App Store

3. Check Facebook Display Zoom settings:

- iPadOS has a Display Zoom feature that can affect app rendering

- Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom

- Switch between Default and More Space and see if it resolves the layout

4. Reset Home Screen Layout:

- Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

- This can sometimes fix display rendering issues for apps

5. Wait for Facebook update:

- Since this started after an iPadOS update, it's likely a Facebook app compatibility issue

- Check the App Store for any pending Facebook updates

- If no update is available, report the issue via Facebook app: Settings > Help > Report a Problem

This type of layout issue (letterboxing in landscape) usually resolves within a few days to weeks as app developers push compatibility updates following major iPadOS releases.
