MacBook Air M3 trackpad cursor lags after 26.5 update

Laggy cursor on MacBook Air M3 trackpad after 26.5 update

my trackpad cursor lags heavily and I noticed this after updating to 26.5

I've attached a video to show this, for the meantime I'm using my Magic Mouse, which seems to track fine

screen recording, note my finger movements are completely smooth while taking this

I would really appreciate help with thisI've also been having this on my menu bar saying accessibility is using my mic while I have no settings turned on that might prompt this, again it all became noticeable after 26.5 update

thank you Owl, and Luis for your help so far. I think what's left is to use etrecheck like Luis suggested before finally giving up. I really appreciate the time put out in trying to assist.
any guides to go about the scan on etrecheck?
