How do I get a refund for goods purchased with Apple Pay from an unresponsive supplier?

I’ve received goods for which I paid by Apple Pay . The goods are not as described and the supplier doesn’t answer emails . What can I do ? I used Apple Pay as I thought they would only allow honest companies to use their system … clearly not .

First, try contacting the merchant directly, ideally by email or any official support channel they list.

If they remain unresponsive, you can dispute the Apple Pay charge through the card issuer linked to your Apple Pay account, since Apple Pay transactions are processed by the card network.

Open the Wallet app, select the card used, find the transaction, and use the “Report an Issue” or “Dispute Transaction” option.

Your bank or card issuer will handle the refund process under their dispute policies.

Hi, sorry for the issue you’re experiencing. Apple Pay offers greater protection against fraud use of your payment method. In other words it’s more secure than using a card’s chip or magnetic strip.

Apple is not a bank and is not involved in the payment or authorization process. In fact, all transactions using Apple Pay are encrypted on your device and only your bank has the key to decrypt and authorize or decline a payment.

The bank that issued your payment method is responsible for any disputes with the merchant. Please contact the support team at the bank that issued your payment method. Good luck!
