I have a new Macbook Neo and am currently locked out. I don’t recall setting a password with I got it, since I have the touch ID. I am currently in Recovery Mode but cannot find where to change my password. I did reset my Apple ID password but that’s not it. And I got into my Devices, and it does not list my Neo. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help!
If you forgot your Mac login password - Apple Support
You were required to set a login password as part of the initial setup process. Hopefully the link above will assist you in resetting it.

Agreed. You would have needed to setup a password to even use Touch ID since the password is the main "fallback" security measure.

If you have forgotten your Mac login password; after trying three attempts, you should find an option to reset your password with your Apple Account.
From there, you simply follow the prompts and your Mac should simply restart like normal.
NOTE: You may need to sign back into iCloud and other services after the successful login.
