How do I remove a ghost icon from an improperly uninstalled app on Mac?

I have a "ghost icon" on the top right of my Mac, to the left of my wifi icon. A while ago, I downloaded an app called "Loom" for a school project. When I tried to delete it I got a message that I improperly uninstalled it; something about not being ejected properly. I honestly don't remember what it said specifically. I don't think it has caused me any problems, but I would like to diagnose it and get rid of it because I just don't want it on my Mac anymore. I've tried this up looking up on Google, but I literally cannot find out how to get rid of it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

I have good news! I found all of the "Loom" stuff on the Activity Monitor and I force quit each of them. Specifically, there was something with a 'process name' that had chrome and "Loom" in it, and when I deleted that one it that got rid of the icon at the top :)

When I try to download it, it says it's not responding. However, when I access the desktop version on safari it works fine. I have no idea if that means anything at all. I went to check the Activity Monitor app to see what is running with "Loom." And in red text it says "Loom Helper (Plugin) (Not Responding)." Should I attempt to quit? or should I force it to quit?

I would try and force quit it. although I'm unsure if that will help you to redownload the app. you should wait until someone else has a suggestion. especially if they have experience with that particular app. there are far too many places where remnants of the app could be. so I personally cannot tell you which files need to be deleted, or what locations they are living in to manually remove them.
