I heard you loud and clear.

My questions are trying to understand whether call audio is routed (or could be routed) through your iPhone, so that it could be transcribed as it goes by.

My hearing aids send call audio through my iPhone to my hearing aids, so I could turn on call transcription toady.

or add an app like CaptionCall or similar.

if the call audio is on a speakerphone, but not directly into your hearing aids, your iPhone could listen and transcribe it as well.

what make and model are these devices?

do you also wear hearing aids? MFi or not?

I thought the caption phone's reason for existence was to give you live transcription? how does it fall short?

The newer iPhone software available in the fall (said to have FAR better voice recognition/captioning) may be part of a solution., IF your iPhone is a model that can run it.

Duck Search Assist says:

IOS 27's advanced voice recognition and Siri AI features require an Apple Intelligence–enabled device set to a supported language, with availability starting in English and limited regions initially. These features are available on iPhone 16 models and later, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad mini (A17 Pro), iPad models with M1 and later, MacBook Neo (A18 Pro), and Mac models with M1 and later.

I have a Mac Studio M2 Ultra, Ipad - M1 Iphones 13 Mini

The Caption Phone does NOT have save or export.

I have somehow gotten on every calling list and am looking at using text as my only comms.

I have hearing aids from the VA but my issue is that my head injuries significantly affect my comprehension - rated 52% loss by the VA. The hearing aids only make the sounds louder and do NOT increase my comprehension.

Please pay attention to what I have said.

The hearing aids just make the noise louder - they do not make the noise understandable.

My issue is I have comprehension loss.

That is why I need to see what the person is saying - it needs to be transcribed.

The caption phone does that but does not save or export the transcribed text.

This is the issue I am trying to solve.
