Charge limit failing to stop battery charging

I aim facing the same issue as before. Charging over limit. I know it may sound embarrassing to apple, but If the Mac will charge to full anyways, WHAT IS THE POINT OF CHARGE LIMIT? It happened AGAIN, here:

I am getting frustrated now. Charge limit doesn't work. What is the point of it? Apple, seriously? you call THIS a charge limit?! I honestly don't need the battery to wear out quickly due to chemical pressure, and 80% is more than enough. I need apple to fix this. If it will charge to full anyways, WHAT IS THE POINT?

please fix this,

Thanks

You are overthinking this. Configure the laptop for Optimized Charging and let it go. In fact ignore all battery health details until the battery is no longer working to your satisfaction. Also keep in mind neither Optimized Charing or the Charging Limit will work when the laptop is powered completely off.....so if the power adapter is connected during that time, then the battery will be charged to 100%.

Excellent advice.

Thank you HWTech,
Everyone is telling me "forget about it, its not a big deal." Thanks for the reply explaining everything.

You're welcome. Glad it helped.

Just to confirm, i don't have beta software turned on, otherwise I will be in apple developer forums.

Sorry, I realize you were not running official Beta software, but Apple's full public releases these days certainly appear to act like Beta software with all the outright bugs in what is supposedly ready for public everyday consumption. By the time macOS 27 is released, then Tahoe will be mostly through its "beta" cycle with many of the bugs finally being patched to allow a stable experience for users. Users will no longer have to worry whether a minor update patch will break their system & third party hardware & software.

I keep my main system on older stable versions of macOS until an app causes me to upgrade to a more recent version of macOS. Even then I tend to avoid the most recent major OS (glad I only upgraded to Tahoe on a test system).
