How to stop recurring Safari notifications on MacBook Pro?

how do I get rid of this annoying notification that keeps popping up every few minutes?

Open Safari, go the Safari Menu ➜ Settings ➜ Websites ➜ Notifications(on the side panel) and make sure no odd websites are allowed there to send notifications.

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/Anti-Virus/VPN

these third party apps are known to causes issues on macOS and augment these type of unwanted notifications.

That's a scam message, probably trying to trick you into buying useless and often harmful "protection" apps.


These can happen for a number of reasons but are commonly caused by downloading from not-so-honest download hosting sites. Suspicious content includes:


— software offered "free" that you well know sells at a price from legit sites

— fonts

— screensavers

— ringtones

— hard to get instruction/assembly manuals


to mention a few.


Bottom line: No one, not even Apple, can "see" or "detect" what is on your computer unless you specifically give them remote access. Follow the instructions others have provided.
