Watch series 9 wont stay shut down.
I only have an Apple watch so that I can check if I have atrial fibrillation. I don't use a watch for anything else.
When the watch is in my bag and I need to check my ECG, it's dead as the battery has run out.
How can I keep it shut down so that there is battery power when I need it?

Here we're even more misunderstanding each other. Isn't this a bit same as if one have fewer, feeling is bad and / but if body temperature is not very high, one stay in bed. If the body temperature are getting high, the medical thermometer reading help to decide "should I seek medical help".
Trust me, I know this can be serious and I have discussed this with my cardiologist.
This is how I use the Apple watch and my only problem was / is that when I need the watch, the battery is flat.
Perhaps we should leave the usage of Apple watch to each user, let the user decide what is right or wrong to him.

I meant simpler, not similar above when I tried to say the button method is simpler than the Settings method to shut down the Apple Watch.
