MacBook Air 13.6” (2025) hinge clicking sound - is this normal?
Is it normal for a 13.6” MacBook Air (2025) to make a clicking sound from the hinges when opening and closing it?

No, it's not normal. The hinge of a MacBook Air must be completely fluid and silent when opening and closing. This small clicking noise is usually due to a slight misalignment of the screen, dust or debris stuck in the mechanism, or an internal cable (such as that of the screen or antennas) that rubs slightly when the hinge rotates. Since your MacBook Air is a recent 2025 model and it is still under warranty, do not attempt to force or repair the mechanism yourself.
