As kurtish mentioned, the free Windows Live Mail (part of Windows Live Essentials) IS the Windows equivalent to mBox Mail. It provides fully synced desktop access to your email, contacts, and calendar. If you want to use Outlook instead, you can install the free Outlook Connector to access mail, contacts, and calendar. Both solutions are full bi-directional "Exchange-like" sync. It is NOT POP3 access.
