How do I reset the unlock code after migration on a new MacBook Air?

I just purchased a new Mac Book Air and used the migration tool to transfer from old to new, however, the unlock code is not working and I keep getting locked out. How do I reset it?

You can change your Mac's login password by going to System Settings > Users & Groups and then click the i⃝ next to your user account name.

Change the login password on Mac - Apple Support



If you can't sign into the Mac and you need to reset the password, then this:
