Can I stream from ONE Apple TV to TWO TVs/Home Cinemas?

Hello!

I am thinking of buying an Apple TV, but I am willing to connect it to two TVs... One directly using an HDMI cable and the other I wish I could connect it wirelessly via Time Capsule (and perhaps using an Airport Express as a receiving hub on the second TV). Is this possible?

Bottom line is to have ONE Apple TV streaming to TWO TVs/Home Cinemas! Is this possible? How can I do this using the Apple TV?

Thank you all for your feedback! You were all very helpful!

At least in the short term I'm buying an ("old") Apple TV and stream audio to the other speakers using AirTunes... After this I'll explore the video part using wireless HDMI's... As soon as they get cheaper... And in the meantime I'll continue to find out more on this subject.

I hope I don't have any problems setting up this solution... Otherwise I hope you don't mid to help me out! 🙂

Just to recap:

You can stream music from one current Apple tv to any number of airport expresses (I suppose at some point there will simply be too many and it will overwhelm the network), but you can't stream video in the same way.

I expect the same to be true with the new Apple tv, but can't be absolutely certain until they are shipped.

Thanks! That is quite clear in my mind: music using airport express; video, if possible, not in the same way. 🙂

I am looking into purchasing a component matrix switcher. Any rec's? I have an Crestron automation system with audio distribution; looking to add video via the matrix switcher. Want apple TV as one of the input's. How is the matrix switcher controlled remotely?

Also need to add apple TV to Crestron audio input.....hookup is easy; question is how to access apple TV....via expensive Crestron interface?
