A VPN and Antivirus software are common problems that can cause networking issues and also crash your computer. Other third party tools like CleanMyMac can also cause crashes on your computer or the use of Not Signed software that will be identified in the report.

To be honest, you have so many problematic things going on with your computer, it may be best to start fresh with a clean install and don't add the problematic files offered by SetApp including CleanMyMac or other cleaner or the multiple VPN's. There was a reason why I was able to point at CleanMyMac and VPN use as potential problems even before knowing you had them installed and also the Unsigned software being problematic. Here are a few problems noted:

• SetApp is a third party distributor and not a reliable source for malware free software.
• /etc/hosts - Count 12 entry indicates modifications made to your hosts file that is directly responsible for network connections.
• Turning off a VPN does not mean you are not using it and the network altering processes remain on your computer and continue to interfere with those connections.
• You are showing Secure Boot: Reduced Security, which is not recommended but probably required for you to install some third party Kernel Extensions that would otherwise not be possible on a secure Mac.
• Unsigned File at /Library/LaunchAgents/com.maintain.ShutDown.plist
• Unsigned File at ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.topazlabs.veai.nukepath.plist
• Unsigned File at /Library/LaunchAgents/com.maintain.Restart.plist
• The app located at ~/Applications/Chrome Apps.localized/Google Voice.app required Gatekeeper bypass and probably not a legitimate app or was installed from an illegitimate source.
• /Applications/Setapp/ClearVPN.app is a System Extension running whether you have the VPN turned on or not.
• Tailscale Network Extension is a System Extension running where the Application is not even found.
• WireGuardSystemExtension-Setapp-Version is another System Extension installed altering your network connections.
• Moonlock Protection is another System Extension for altering network connections where the application is also not found.
• DuckDuckGo VPN Network Extension is another System Extension for VPN use. Using DDG alone may not be a problem, but when combines with the multiple other VPN and networking altering extensions, you should expect problems.
• Not signed file com.google.keystone.daemon.plist
• com.macpaw.CleanMyMac-setapp.Agent.plist - Don't recommend it for the reasons already stated and due to the SetApp distribution.
• com.piriform.ccleaner.engine.xpc.plist - Along with CleanMyMac, cleaners are not recommended.
• com.piriform.ccleaner.services.submit.plist - Same as above. This file as well as the others are in your Launch folders whether you use the apps or not.
• com.piriform.ccleaner.services.xpc.plist - Yet another needless process in your Launch folder
• com.piriform.ccleaner.uninstall.plist - Here we go again
• com.piriform.ccleaner.update.xpc.plist - See a pattern there with so many launch processes.
• Nektony App Cleaner is yet another cleaner program running on your computer.
• iMazing can have disastrous effects on your computer and security depending on what tools you choose to use.
• Kernel Panics can also be cause be external drives connected and corresponding drive management software, testing without connected device may be useful to narrow down any particular device.
• BackBlaze is using 99% of your CPU.

You can try working backwards to remove the latest applications you have installed since you started experiencing the problem, but I would suspect you have multiple issues going on there not only with crashes, but poor internet speed, and slowness in the UI where you may even see the beachball from time to time.

Sorry I could not point to a single simple solution and welcome any other input here from other users who would like to chime in. Whether they dispute my analysis or agree with me is perfectly acceptable.

I don't often recommend the nuclear option of clean install and manual app installation, but in this case I think it is warranted. Don't install any cleaners and VPN use should only be necessary when required by a School/Work environment where they will provide the VPN options and settings that are specific for their network. Even though a VPN is marketed as providing security to your device, they do the exact opposite by creating a hole in your network traffic by routing to a third party server, leaving your data exposed and personal information in jeopardy.

The two biggest problems are CleanMyMac and CCCleaner. Try uninstalling both of these by following their developer's instructions. If you still have problems, then uninstall the VPN software and deal with the Hosts file.

Some of those Launch Agents/Daemons are really odd with those extremely long commands....very rare to see something like that (TopazLabs is one of those as an example).

I also noticed that you have one or two external drives that appear to be connected to a USB2 hub which will certainly severely impact performance on those drives. One is your 28TB WD and these items:

Junk, and another way to deal with it:

You have accumulated way, way, way too much junk on your Mac.

In this context, “junk" is like stuff in your attic -- it may be perfectly good, but is not needed right now.

It is very difficult to get rid of such junk. I suggest you not even TRY.

Consider using this method instead:

check your trusted backup for completely up-to-date. consider making another on another drive.

ERASE your Mac,

Re-Install MacOS ONLY,

then add your Production apps like Adobe, and nothing additional.

Restore ONLY your Files from backup.

Then Follow this rule:

Only ONE non-Apple add-on is allowed to be added per day. If you already used up today's one, you have to wait until tomorrow to add another. No saving up unused add-ons as credits.
