Hi,
I just tested this on my Studio Display XDR when connected directly to a MAC device, including when the connected MAC device is in sleep mode and there is no fan running.
I'm going to assume its the same behaviour for the Apple Studio display according to my searches.....
> Power Cycle: Unplug the Studio Display from power for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in to reset the internal power unit and fans.
> Firmware Update: Ensure the display firmware is up to date by connecting it to a Mac and checking for system updates.
> If your MAC device and Studio display are connected to a hub, check if this is the cause......
the Approved Method for Reseting these "smart" displays is to give them a timeout:
Disconnect all power and data, and leave the display isolated for more than a quarter hour.
Facing it into the corner, or sitting it on the naughty stair is optional ;-)
In addition: When no MAC devcie is connected to the display, there is no fan running on Studio display XDR (display is powered on)
