Why does the iPadOS Podcast app occupies GBs of data even when I disabled automatic downloads?
In ‚Settings‘ the Podcast app shows 6GB of memory consumption while -as said- no downloaded podcast is visible.
Luckily, on my iPhone the ‚do not download‘ setting work and the Podcast app does have minimum memory consumption.
Any ideas how to fix the memory consumption of the iPadOS Podcast app, please?

Hey, miracously this time I succeeded. Did exactly the same like before, deleted Podcast app, re-downloaded it. Removed downloads by menu option in the sidebar and turned off automatic downloads in settings. Lo and behold - the memory consumption is down to 2xx MB.

Consider the issue to be fixed.
Have you checked the "Downloaded" section in the Library to make sure there are no historic or saved downloads there?
…forgot to mention that app re-installation does not cure the huge memory demand.
