iPhone 17 Pro – Frequent call drops since iOS 26.5.1

Since updating my iPhone 17 Pro to iOS 26.5.1, almost every phone call drops after a few seconds to minutes. During a 15-minute call, this may happen 8–10 times.

I’ve already tried:

New eSIM
different SIM
Reset Network Settings
Disabled Wi-Fi Calling
Restarted the iPhone
Removed VPN profiles
Various other troubleshooting steps

The issue started immediately after installing iOS 26.5.1. Before I had no problems.

As a comparison, my old iPhone 13 Pro works perfectly under the same conditions.

Is anyone else experiencing frequent call drops since iOS 26.5.1, especially on an iPhone 17 Pro?

The phone was tested when it started already with no issue found

My sister does not have a VPN. I do, but I have had it disabled since before this issue started.

Bought an IPhone 17 pro a week ago… the issue wouldn’t stop. Troubleshoot with the provider for hours, no change. I got a new IPhone 17 pro (replacement phone), same issue. This is nuts.
