Usually, four-year colleges offer student discounts on Microsoft Office suites — an experience checkbox on almost all future job listings you will encounter. Employers are not spending time or money training new employees on basic skills expected to be gained in four-years of college.

I have never seen a job listing requiring Apple iWork application experience. It is very important to understand what each course requires in application software, and the accepted document format expected by faculty from that course work.
