Is anyone else experiencing a longer than normal wait time for a new app to be reviewed in App Store Connect?
I have a new app that has been in the "waiting for review" status for 10 days.
This is in the 4+ age category so I hear that it could add some time to the clock as well.

I would say try the expedited app review request, my app stayed in "Waiting for Review" for 7 days, on the sixth day I submitted the request and then it moved to "In Review" within a few hours, not sure if it was because of the expedited review request, but I'd say shoot your chance

For my first/initial review(new app), 16 days. Now still waiting on 2nd review, 5 days for a small change.

I have exactly one app in the store, but each release has taken 7+ business days for review. Each. Release. Even for small incremental changes. The 90% w/in 48 hours is a joke at this point. If I'm just pushing out bug fixes that take me a day to fix, it shouldn't take a week (plus) for those fixes to be available to customers....
Apple also does huge rollouts of vacations in July and August as well for employees.
In addition to the A.I. invasion.
So, I think we are all just along for the ride at this point.
Thatâs seriously insane. I get that theyâre probably a little more swamped with so many people making apps guided by AI, but this is absurd. Glad yours finally got in though, Iâm at risk of having wasted $5k sponsoring a convention at the end of the month while my app stays in waiting for review. đ
I just submitted my app for initial review 20 hours ago, will use this thread and keep you posted with my experience here, but as for now, review status is still "Waiting for Review". Not sure if it will really be reviewed within 24 hours, at least not what I'm feeling from reading the replies over here.
I wanted the release date to be Aug 21, so hopefully I can stick to the promise :)
On Aug 26 I got the initial review round and the app was rejected due to just a mistaken metadata in the subscription plans of the app, I had to resubmit and message the review team because they didn't reject the concerned items and rather rejected the app itself, so I cannot edit the subscriptions' metadata right now until they return them to me. Had to submit a new build for a bug fix along in with the same review that was rejected. Hopefully the app was clear and will pass without a long delay like the initial review time.
How long did it take to go through? Iâm going on 72 hours now and getting anxious. Havenât seen App Store review times this bad in almost 10 years.
I actually just came to post about this myself! found it just a bit ago and requested one. Fingers crossed they pick it up in time!

I've been waiting since August 15th in "Waiting for review". I have no idea what is going on and support emails go unanswered.
