Thanks for your response. There are two things that work but both only work temporarily. One is what you suggested - resyncing the calendar. The other is changing the time or date on “all” entries for an individual repeating calendar entry and then resetting "all" back to the original time/date. This only helps that one entry. And as I mentioned, both are temporary. After a month or so, alerts for repeating calendar entries stop again, sometimes causing me to miss an important alert. Please post if you think of anything else.  Thanks again.

Thank you for the additional suggestions. Below is what I found:

Turn off Battery Saver or Low Power Mode for the calendar app - It’s not possible to do this for the calendar app alone.  The MacBook Pro Energy Mode and Power Adaptor are both set for automatic but I’m not sure these are the setting you are referencing.

Set app background refresh to Always On or Unrestricted - There are no specific background refresh options for the Calendar app itself.  In Calendar settings, Refresh is set to “Push” which I believe sets it to automatic but I’m not sure this is what you are suggesting,

Check that System Time is set strictly to Automatic - "Set date and time” and “Set time zone automatically using current location” were already set to automatic.

Yes, the MacBook Pro M4 Max is synced to an iPhone 14 Pro, an iPad mini 7, and an Apple Watch Series 10. I looked at the setting on the iPhone and iPad but wasn’t sure what to check. Below are a few setting.

iPhone and iPad - low power mode is off

iPhone and iPad - in the Calendar app, “Fetch New Data” is set to Push and Automatically.

iPhone and iPad - in the Calendar app, “Sync” is set to “All Events”

I’m not sure it’s relevant but this problem has persisted over multiple generations of the above devices.

Thanks for your suggestions — I’m sorry none of them have worked because this is very frustrating, as I’m sure you can appreciate.  Thanks again.
