USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable for my 13-inch MacBook Air M3

The quality of the USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable for my 13-inch MacBook Air M3 is honestly terrible.

The cable started peeling near the USB-C connector almost immediately after I bought it. Now the outer coating has worn away so much that it looks like some of the internal wires are damaged as well.

I've owned several Apple laptops over the years, and this is the first time I've had a cable deteriorate this quickly. Really disappointing, especially considering the price.

Has anyone else experienced the same issue with this cable?

Definitely the worst Apple charging cable I've ever owned.

For a premium product, I'd expect much better durability. This is simply unacceptable.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

I never really lost a cable myself, but in these forums many ios device users seem to, my trick is that I never! disconnect a cable by pulling the cable itself, I always disconnect it by pulling the plastic connector itself.

you can buy a new one USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable (2 m) - Sky Blue - Apple

or try out some third party cable options to see if you can get those to last longer

you can also leave apple feedback using their feedback channel (as they do not have an accessory cat you should probably just use the macbook one)

Thanks for your reply and for taking the time to explain how these forums work.

I appreciate your suggestion. Following your advice, I've already submitted feedback through Apple's Product Feedback page so they're aware of the issue.

Hopefully they'll take it into consideration, because I really don't think a cable in normal, careful use should deteriorate this quickly.
