Cannot search in Apple Books app.
Macbook pro Tahoe 26.6. I click on the books app, then audiobook store, and then want to search but there is no search field!
Then click on Search at the top, but still no search field.

In your second screenshot, the search field is the light gray rounded box at the top center labeled “Apple Books.”
Click directly inside that box, enter the title or author, then press Return. Search is separate from the Audiobook Store page in Tahoe, and you can filter the results to Audiobooks afterward.
If the field won’t accept typing, quit Books and reopen it.
