iPhone 14 White Screen Immediately After Software Update

My iPhone 14 suddenly developed a white screen immediately after a software update. There is no physical damage or liquid ingress. The Apple Authorized Service Center confirmed there is no physical or liquid damage but refused a free repair because the device is out of warranty. Has anyone else experienced the same issue after an update? If so, did Apple repair or replace it free of charge?

If the iPhone is out of warranty, Apple is not going to replace or repair anything free of charge.

I had my car serviced recently, which included a software update for the electronic systems in the vehicle.

The car's transmission failed a few days after the car was serviced. The warranty on the car expired approximately a year ago. You can probably guess if the dealer repaired the transmission free of charge.
