Will my new charger fast charge my iPhone 15?

I was looking to get a charging cable that will do fast charging for my iPhone 15 and I got the Anker USB A to USB C Cable which says right in the description that it “Supports fast charging up to 15W (3A/5V) and data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. (Not compatible with Power Delivery).”

Had to dig into Settings -> Battery to get what speed of charging it was doing, but it said it was a slow charge and the charging speed seemed to confirm that. Am I doing something wrong? Does this cable not actually do a fast charge for this type of phone? Can I get a fast charge at all from a USB-A to USB-C cable? Thanks.

According to the documentation provided by Apple, you need a USB-C charger for compatibility and it must support USB Power Delivery (USB-PD).

The link you provided for the cable you purchased says it is not compatible with Power Delivery:

Supports fast charging up to 15W (3A/5V) and data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. (Not compatible with Power Delivery)

It goes on to state specific compatibility requirements:

If your device’s original cable is a USB-C to USB-C cable, then only a USB-C to USB-C cable can charge your device as fast as possible.
Not compatible with Power Delivery fast charging and does not support laptop charging.
