Sequoia compatibility with 2019 imac retina 5
why cant I preview email attachments since downloading Sequoia to my 2019 imac? Sierra worked fine but since I upgraded, I can no longer preview any email attachments sent to me.

A 2019 iMac Retina 5K is compatible with macOS Sequoia, so the upgrade itself should not prevent email attachment previews.

1 - First, test Quick Look by selecting a file in Finder and pressing the Space bar. If the file does not preview, open Terminal and enter qlmanage -r
2 - Restart your Mac and test again.
3 - In Apple Mail, check that attachments are being downloaded. Go to Mail >> Settings >> Accounts and confirm that attachment downloads are enabled.
4 - Temporarily disable Mail Privacy Protection by going to Mail → Settings → Privacy, then test whether attachments preview correctly. This is only a troubleshooting step to determine whether Mail’s privacy settings are affecting message content.
5 - If the problem continues, clear the Mail attachment cache. Quit Mail, open Finder, select Go >> Go to Folder, and enter: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Mail Downloads
6 - Move the contents of that folder (not the folder itself) to the Trash. Reopen Mail and test the attachments again.
7 - If the folder does not exist, skip this step.
8 - If all attachments still fail, rebuild the mailbox. In Mail, select the affected mailbox and choose Mailbox >> Rebuild.
9 - As a final diagnostic test, log in to your email provider’s webmail site using a browser. Open an email with an attachment and check whether the attachment can be viewed or downloaded there. If attachments work correctly in webmail, the issue is likely limited to Apple Mail on the Mac.
