FCP ProRes 422 export won't burn to disc via Toast
Issue: can't burn file exported from FCP to disc
OS: macOS 15.6
Final Cut 12.0
Toast 20 Pro
Export format: ProRes422 (apple recommended)
The exported file will play in Quicktime. Toast won't burn it, fails with a macOS error=-1350.
Other burning apps also fail.
Steps taken so far:
System restart (many times)
Consolidate media to new HDD
For file export "Share" function to Apple Devices HD (the share fails).
Send to Compressor, set to ProRes422. File exports, plays but can't be burned
Send to Compressor, set for Apple Devices 1080p HQ, file plays and did burn.
Secondary issues: FCP looses track of render files and render requirements. Render All does not work. I have multiple Compound Clips nested, I have to go to each and render selection. Once all of that is done, FCP still complains that there is a background process that won't comlete if I export. It doesn't state what specifically it is, and there are no dotted render lines. Going forward, the export file can only be made via Compressor. But again the ProRes422 file can't be burned.
Toast 20 Pro symptoms: The project will go through compression (takes a long time) but won't write to a disc, and pops the failure/error message. Corel says I have these issues: Toast 20 is only compatible Sonoma. Suggested burning via "Classic" interface, and to a disc image. Trying that now.
