Discount for Final cut pro
After being on Apple chat for an hour and 3 different people they were not able to offer me a discount for Final cut like a student as I do only volunteer work for a non profet Lions building Adobe allowed me this privilege for the past 4 years, so I was asking Apple to do the same as I switch over to Final Cut.
Do they ever do anything like student pricing like Adobe has done?
I am not a student just a volunteer.

There is no discount on Apple software outside of the student discount, period.
And there is no longer any free-trial versions of Apple's software any longer.
DaVinci Resolve isn't really that hard to learn, and I'd recommend it.
For students and educators:
Is iMovie too basic for you? It can produce very good results and there are workarounds to cover some of its deficiencies.
Alternatively, what about the free version of DaVinci Resolve? It is more capable than FCP minus the AI stuff like the Magnetic Mask and Voice Isolation.

Final cut has a demo and I realized that there’s one feature which I like is the auto tracking feature because I like to split out the layers and have an alpha layer on top lettering in between or moving from front to back and Final Cut does it really well I do have a Adobe suite which I will be giving up in September and in Premier I was able to do that very well

The discount was applied many years ago when Final Cut Pro arrived in the App Store.
Before the App Store was invented, Final Cut Studio cost about $1,299 for one copy.
Now that you have the discount, you can make the purchase with confidence.

Brian, what discount are you talking about?
When the App Store was invented years ago, it allowed Apple to save money on distribution costs.
Those savings were passed down to consumers with lower prices.
Final Cut Pro was one of many Pro apps that had major price reductions and inflation has not affected their prices ever since.

Right, cause you can't justify the cost with those huge boxes and tons of engineering manuals... yep... that was a game changer... But I'm not sure I'd call it a discount. Just a reduced price, because it was permanent. But, whatever. App Store changed everything...
Thanks, not a student, but a volunteer, I can't seem to talk to anyone at Apple that can help, as I cam't apply for student as I don't have the creds.
