Can I move iMovie Library from earlier version to a newer one?

I have a new MacBook Air iMovie version 10.4.4 - can I copy my iMovie library from my iMac - the version on there is 10.3.8?

I have some short intro clips that I re-use and a movie in progress and would like to move these to the new device.

Or is there a way to export/import specific projects so they are still editable?

iMac 27″, macOS 12.7

Yes, you can copy your entire iMovie library directly from your iMac (version 10.3.8) to your new MacBook Air (version 10.4.4). Newer versions of iMovie automatically open and update older libraries, keeping all your clips, events, and projects fully editable.
