It is absolutely beyond me that the Apple desktop applications are the exact, extreme opposite of their iPhone philosophy. Apple Music is a dumpster fire of horrible functionality paired with a nonexistent, even hostile, user experience.
You open the app, it tells you that your session has expired, yet your account shows in as logged in. Do you log out? Do you re-authorize the machine? Who knows? You do either, the credentials prompt disappears but there's absolutely no feedback if that was successful? Or a failure? Or something else? Is my session refreshed? Why is half my music, that is otherwise visible on my phone, is not synced to my computer?
You eventually get so frustrated that you go with the nuclear option of just re-installing - you click sign in, enter your details, prompt disappears, nothing happens? Absolutely wonderful.
I'm not even gonna try to download a VPN or delete Chrome cookies, such workarounds are just proof of the highest incompetence.
