Recurring “Audio Unit Plug-in Reported a Problem” Error in Logic Pro

I’m experiencing a recurring Audio Unit issue in Logic Pro and wanted to see if anyone else has encountered something similar.

At various times, Logic displays the message: “An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro.”

I’ve had this happen while editing vocals with Melodyne, but I’ve also received the same error in other situations, sometimes specifically identifying UAD plug-ins.

I contacted Celemony about the Melodyne issue, and they told me that ARA implementation is handled by the DAW manufacturer and recommended that I contact Apple about it.

Has anyone else experienced this recurring Audio Unit error in Logic, particularly with Melodyne or UAD plug-ins? If so, were you able to determine what was causing it or find a solution?

I am on Mac OS 15.7.3, Logic 12.3, using Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface, and using external drives to house my logic projects, and music libraries.

Mac Studio, macOS 15.7

I've never experienced this issue with UAD plugins. I have this sometimes with plugins, that (unfortunately) are no longer being developed. I don't have melodyne. Besides of the ARA issue. What's your computer model? Have you opened Logic with Rosetta or silicon native?

Mac Studio M4Max 64gb. I am running logic on silicon native. I started to think that there may be a connection to having some plugins on iLok, since the A-band UAD plugin is on that, and iLok does disconnect sometimes which I am reaching out to them about, but Melodyne is not on my iLok so I am unsure what it could be.
