Add student software using a student email to existing apple id on ipad

I have an existing apple id and I want to add software using a different student email address. I tried to set up a new apple id with the student email address and I get an error "Your request could not be completed. The action could not be completed because of an error. Try again later". How do I add my student software to my device?

You cannot create a new Apple account with that student email because it is likely already tied to a system (like a Managed Apple ID via your school) or restricted. Instead, add the student email as an alias to your current Apple account or log into the App Store separately with your school account if it is a separate Managed Apple account
