Hi,

Heres some info that may help:

First of all, reboot your router and try again. Failing that:

Common causes for a Mac Mini M4 connecting to networks but failing to load websites include incorrect DNS settings, VPN interference, or incorrect network service ordering

  • DNS Configuration: The most frequent fix is manually setting DNS servers. Go to System Settings > Network, select your connection (Wi-Fi or Ethernet), click Details, then DNS. Add public servers like 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 and apply changes.
  • Network Service Order: If using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, the system may be prioritizing the inactive interface. Navigate to System Settings > Network, click the ... menu, select Set Service Order, and drag the active connection to the top of the list.
  • VPN and Security Software: Third-party VPNs or security tools can block web traffic while maintaining the local network link. Temporarily disable VPN (including iCloud Private Relay) and any firewall or proxy settings in the network advanced options to test connectivity.
  • DHCP and Location Settings: Renew the DHCP lease via Terminal using sudo ipconfig set en0 DHCP (replace en0 with your active interface) or create a New Network Location in the Network settings to reset all network preferences to a clean state.
  • Hardware Config: For Ethernet issues specifically, some users report success by changing the hardware configuration from Automatic to Manual in the network details.
