OK. First at 80%, your battery is failing and qualifies for replacement at your Apple Store Genius Bar. Whether that will fix the charging issue (it likely will) we can't tell you as this is a user to user only forum. But you do need to get the battery replaced in your phone at this point --> Apple Service and Repair for iPhone Battery - Apple Support
Once Apple has your phone, they'll be able to run diagnostics and let you know if there are any other hardware issues. None of this, by the way, was caused by the software update. But it did require a lot of charge, which likely pushed your battery faster towards failure.
