How to disable or adjust low battery notifications for Apple Bluetooth trackpad

My old Apple AA battery-powered bluetooth trackpad displays low battery notifications starting at 10% and continues many, many times daily until it dies, which can be a couple of weeks. I don't want or need these notifications but can find no way to turn them off. Is there a way to turn them off or change it to be 1% instead of 10%?
