Unable to download apps by double clicking power button when prompted.

I’ve tried several suggestions including Rajeep—no luck and it’s making me crazy.

There must be a glitch or setting somewhere else aside from Assistive Touch.

Please help!

I’d check Settings > Face ID & Passcode first and make sure iTunes & App Store is turned on. Apple still requires the side-button double-click to confirm App Store downloads when using Face ID.

Also check Settings > Accessibility > Side Button > Click Speed. Try Slow or Slowest and see whether the double-click is recognized.

If the prompt appears but nothing at all happens when you double-click, does the side button otherwise work normally for locking the iPhone and bringing up Apple Pay? That would help narrow down whether this is an App Store/Face ID setting or the button itself.
