F1 video image quality when viewing via the Windows 11 app is poor

The F1 video image quality when viewing via the Windows 11 app is poor. Everything looks washed out compared to F1 streaming on my TV using any streaming device. I do most of my F1 watching from my PC, and this is just horrible. This issue was even more visible when I had access to F1 on https://f1tv.formula1.com/

I had hoped that Apple would resolve this issue well in advance of preventing viewers from watching on F1TV. To compound the issue, it appears Apple will not allow F1 to play via my browser, forcing me to use the app for F1 viewing on my PC.

Please tell me this will not be the F1 viewer experience. Does anyone have a solution? I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, with all updates applied to the device.

Windows, Windows 10

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

This is a user helping users with tech questions forum, we are not apple and apple do not read your posts here

Normally, I'd expect it to be an MS issue, as it so often is, but nope, not this time. It's an Apple issue because they developed the app, not MS. F1 at F1.com had no problem with video quality regardless of the platform. F1.com is now shuttered. Don't get me wrong, the dirty and sloppy coding in Windows is no doubt what is making it difficult to resolve, but it's not impossible to overcome because programmers with fewer resources have done it.

With that said, it is isolated to the app that Apple is forcing us to view F1 on a Windows device. When I view F1 playback via a browser on Linux, there is no problem. Apple needs to address the issue, as this is way below the standards of Apple's.

Thanks. Based on your response, you're telling me there are no user solutions, and this is likely an Apple TV app development issue since it is not an internet speed or bandwidth problem and, as I've already stated, I'm running all the latest drivers.

After doing a quick search, it is clearly an Apple issue. Thanks again. I'll repost in another location.

It is rivals; Ms and Mac are rivals. And if you try to watch F1 through a browser on Linux, it should be the same on Windows because there is nothing in the browser, like Windows and Apple. After all, everything is the same in the world of browsers. I reccomed to clear you cache, as it may cause problems and check the immage quality and last not the least check your ip speed

I know you are just trying to be helpful, but... Let me skip ahead for you. If video data is stored locally to the device and, as in this case, the video image is dull and flat, lacking proper contrast, exposure, and saturation, when processed by video player A (an app), but when processed via another application, player B, the all the anomalies are resolved, the issue is not in the video file, but the application which is processing it.

So, yes, I have downloaded the video file and have played it back on different devices, using various methods, and the issue is only evident in the Apple TV app on Windows.

My home network runs on a fiber network, 500 up, 500 down, with 3 ms latency. I have 4 iMacs and 6 PCs running Windows and Linux. I'm telling you this so you understand I have thoroughly examined and isolated the issue, and I know the issue is in the Apple TV application for Windows 11 because I have checked across many different devices.

My browser processes the video fine. I'll say it again, it is the Apple TV Windows app, which is not processing it correctly. On Linux, there is no Apple TV app; you view the event from the browser, and it's fine.

My objective was mostly to nudge Apple to look at the issue and resolve it. Not everyone has the options available to me.

Goodbye...
