Apple Watch Activity rings not showing after resuming

Activity rings not showing after resume.

I have a Series 11 and an Ultra 2.

I paused my rings for a couple of days, but resumed them this morning.

Activity rings are resumed in Fitness and on both Apple Watches; both offer ‘Pause Rings’. Health still says Activity Rings are paused, and the Activity complications on both watches are blank. I have two currently paired watches on watchOS 26.6 and already deleted the Health data for an obsolete third watch.

This is a known synchronization conflict that specifically triggers when managing multiple Apple Watches. The Health app database is stuck in an execution lock, falsely reading a "paused" command from one of your active or deleted hardware profiles.

Force a Synchronization Refresh

A routine device restart rarely clears a corrupted sync cache database. Try this specific sequential data refresh:

  1. Cycle Tracking Privacy: On your iPhone, open the Watch app. Go to My Watch > Privacy. Toggle Fitness Tracking and Heart Rate off.
  2. Force-Close the Ecosystem: Force-close the Health, Fitness, and Watch apps on your iPhone.
  3. Synchronized Reboot: Power down your iPhone completely. Next, force-restart both your Series 11 and Ultra 2 by holding the Digital Crown and Side button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.
  4. Boot Up Order: Turn your iPhone back on first, unlock it, and then let your watches boot to their home screens.
  5. Re-engage Privacy Settings: Go back to the Watch app > Privacy, and toggle Fitness Tracking and Heart Rate back on.
