Why can I not have and use Apple Pay?

I have been fighting with Apple about my apply pay being restricted. I have the 17 pro and it has been like 7 months. I just talked to apple and they basically told me that I can never have Apple Pay, “which I have always had”. I don’t know why they think I am not me? Anyone else have this problem. I have always had apple but am now thinking about switching phone brands.

Please help

Apple is not a bank and it offers limited banking like services, such as Apple Cash, through Green Dot Bank. Bank’s operate under heavy state and federal regulations including oversight, auditing etc.

A decision to debank someone is usually for violation of the terms and conditions that the account owner agrees to when opening the account. It may even include not only internal investigations but possibly state and/or federal investigations as well.

The reasons can be things like transferring funds for commercial purposes, such as paying monthly rent. Employers sending payroll or other payments using Apple Cash. Accounts can be closed for payments to prohibited merchants such as gambling, medical marijuana or purchasing cash equivalents such as gift cards, precious metals, etc.

There is no appeal process and Apple is not permitted to interfere in banking decisions. Remember, the banks are typically following federal and or state regulations.

I’m happy to try to help you figure out what may have caused the closure, but in most cases we’re still just guessing. You’re welcome to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and sometimes accounts will be reopened if successful.

For general information about prepaid accounts such as Apple Cash, visit cfpb.gov/prepaid.

If you have a complaint about a prepaid account, call the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at 1-855-411-2372 or visit cfpb.gov/complaint.

Have you talked to an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank? Did you read what I wrote that Apple is not a bank and can’t participate in the decision process? Did you read the terms and conditions I linked to? Reading them could provide you with insights into why you’re experiencing these challenges.

Apple has no idea why you’re being denied an account. What is the exact message you received when you tried to open an account?

I had the same apple account and then one transfer to a new phone I noticed it was an email account that I had when I was married. As soon as I changed the apple account I was no longer able to use Apple Pay. I don’t understand how this is so complicated. All I want to do is apple my finance and my parents that is really the only reason that I use it. What did I do so wrong? I am me and never been in trouble, never had a id theft situation. I know that me and my family is nothing to Apple and they could care less. I just want to easily send money other than having to run to bank every time. Even the other companies can send money to apply phones.

Why can I not have and use Apple Pay?
