How can I improve community question indexing for all iPhones and specific applications like Music?

This community question indexing could be improved. The menus force you to choose among a limited list of devices. The question is then binned so only those who are interested in that selected device see the topic. Allow users to at least choose "all iPhones" or a specific application like "Music".

Welcome!

Responders here are other end users; we cannot know what is and is not possible as far as thread mechanics. We cannot change this.

People often post "Well, in other forums I can...." All well and good but ASC grew so massive that no "out of the box" forum software packages could deal with the volume. We do know this: Apple had to go to bespoke software. Think of a Ferrari, highly tuned but needing a lot of attention.

The moderation team usually does not respond here. However you can send your suggestion to them using the email link in the Apple Support Community Terms of Use.

TIP: Did you find the site map? It shows the current community organization and may help with what you seek. This link goes directly to it: Site Map - Apple Community I

Sure and understood. I was commenting and just picking from the limited number of category buttons. It occurred to me that those available would not be very precise towards the actual topic area. E.g. "iPhone" not an option so the comment would only go to the available "iPhone 12" community, when it applied to all iPhone users....

The map is a lot more detailed than the limited choices on the required device focus area menu.
