Battery draining issue after update IOS 26.6.1

Can someone help me on this. Battery draining fast after the IOS update 26.6.1

Because of this draining issue, charge limit was also not working. It was set to 80% and still it goes beyond that and getting fully charged even though the limit was set to 80%

It is completely normal for your battery to drain faster immediately after a major update like iOS 26.6.1.

After an update, the operating system performs massive background tasks. It must re-index files (like your Spotlight index and photo library) and optimize app files. This process typically takes 24 to 48 hours, but can sometimes last up to 3 to 5 days. During this period, your iPhone uses significantly more processing power and energy, and it might feel warmer than usual.

Hey, thanks for the reply. I appreciate your help in this.

I have updated the IOS 26.6.1 last week and it’s been more than 6 days and I’m still facing the issue. I hope this issue gets fixed in next update.

also, is it normal for the phone to get charged full even if we limit the charge at 80% ?

Another Quick question: Previously my phone did not give any option to unlock the locked apps with passcode. Even if someone try to access multiple times, still the device asked for only faceID. After the update this was gone and now anyone who knows the passcode was able to unlock the locked apps after few failed face lock attempts. I have searched in internet and did not find any solution for this.
