iPhone alarm volume randomly becomes very low
Issue: iPhone Alarm Volume Randomly Becomes Very Low
I am experiencing an intermittent issue with the alarm volume on my iPhone.
The alarm works normally on some days, with the volume at the expected level. However, on other days, the alarm sound suddenly becomes extremely low, even though I have not manually changed the volume or alarm settings.
My current settings
- Ringtone & Alerts volume: Set to maximum.
- Change with Buttons: Disabled, so the volume cannot be accidentally changed using the physical volume buttons.
- Attention Aware Features: Disabled.
- The alarm sound itself is selected correctly and is not set to “None.”
- I have not intentionally changed any sound or alarm settings before this happens.
What makes the issue unusual
The problem is intermittent and unpredictable.
For example, the alarm may work perfectly for several days. Then, on another day, the alarm volume becomes extremely quiet even though I have not changed anything.
This is particularly concerning because I rely on the alarm to wake me up, and an unexpectedly low alarm volume could cause me to miss an important alarm.
I would like to know what could be causing iOS to lower the alarm/ringer volume automatically and whether this is a known software issue or bug.
Please investigate whether there is any system process, iOS feature, audio setting, or software bug that could be changing the alarm volume without user interaction.
