Can't download or update apps without subscriptions on iPhone

why can we not go back to pre subscription days before payments and subscriptions really mattered

i can’t download or update anything and one of those happened to be my bank account app so now I have to pay for subscriptions that I don’t want in order to use the apps i desperately need and use for everything which is my banking app

Original Title: Separate downloading apps from subscriptions a lot of the apps aren’t worth what they try too charge free to build apps using unity or surreal engine charging loads for poor quality apps n games STOP THE MADNESS UNHAND THE ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD BACK

You can’t use the App Store if your account has unpaid balances, a pending purchase or a region mismatch.

Make sure your billing address matches your region, clear any pending charges and try again.

Check your payment method in Settings ➢ [your name] ➢ Payment & Shipping, ensure it’s valid and update if needed. Also, sign out and back into your Apple Account, then try again.

If it still fails, contact Apple Support directly.
