Sign in box keeps popping up when I try to buy songs, and I can't sign into my itunes account

For the past two days I have tried to buy tracks on itunes. I have not had problems before. My account is in credit. When I try to buy the box pops up and asks for email and password. I enter my email and password, press buy, the box disappears, then after a few seconds it pops back up again. It won't let me sign in or buy songs at all. Sometimes it has a 301 or 302 error message. I really don't know what to do. I am scared of signing out of my account in case I can't sign back in, I tried that yesterday, I signed out and by chance hours later I was able to sign back in. I am using my PC it has the latest version of Windows 11 and latest itunes version. Can anyone help me with this problem?

Since this started suddenly and iTunes keeps returning to the sign-in box, I wouldn’t sign out again yet.

Apple recommends first checking that Windows date, time, and time zone are correct, then going to Account > View My Account in iTunes to see whether it reports any billing or previous-purchase issue. Apple also notes that an iTunes Store connection problem can sometimes be on the Store side. If you have problems using the iTunes Store on PC – Apple Support

If your account details look normal and this is still happening after two days, I’d contact Apple Support and mention the 301/302 errors specifically. That would help distinguish an account authorization problem from an iTunes Store connection issue.
