Deleting hacked account

I have an older apple account that I no longer use that’s been hacked. Is there anyway to delete this account without having access to it, or should I reach out to support and have them help me resolve this issue?

I’d try to regain control of the account before worrying about deleting it.

If you can’t sign in or reset the password, start account recovery at https://iforgot.apple.com. Apple recommends that for a compromised account you can no longer access.

Once you’re back in, change the password, review the trusted phone numbers and devices, and remove anything you don’t recognize. Then you can decide whether you still want to delete the account.
