MacOS rejected my Apple ID login after key-in the Apple Account Verification Code

I can use my Apple ID to login my iPhone 16 and the https://account.apple.com/ website.

When I use the same Apple ID to sign in my MacOS on MacBook, after inputted the email, password and Apple Account Verification Code. it waits for about 10 seconds and then back to the enter email data field.

BUT, when I sign in the https://account.apple.com/ website, the MacOS device is already trusted.

Why the login is rejected on the MacOS locally?????

I saw that you don't have any replies, so I thought I'd submit something that might give you ideas. It could be more than one problem. Please be sure to read to the end of this reply before using my suggestions. Are you reluctant to shut down the Mac? If not, I'd start there, then observe carefully everything that happens when you attempt to log back in. There are things that I'm not aware of, obviously, but I've had similar experiences. I would definitely recommend that you perform a backup before troubleshooting further. I recommend backing up at the drop of a hat, but it's hardly ever a bad idea.
