This can be due to debris in that port, or because it has incorrectly sensed the configuration.

To remove debris, carefully check with a bright light (when the Mac is powered off). Try using gentle puffs of compressed air to clear any debris. If you can see debris or dust, very careful use of small tweezers may be attempted to remove it, but take care to avoid damaging delicate connectors. Compressed air is probably safer.

If the port seems clean, try connecting speakers or headphones to that port. Try adjusting the output sound. Insert and remove the headphone jack several times briskly. Then see if the red light is gone and sound can be adjusted.

To fix the lack of charging, try resetting the SMC on your Mac. I believe you have an Intel Mac without the T2 chip. Follow Apple's instructions:

Reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

Also, check on another Mac to see if the charger is still working. Or try a different charger. You can visit an Apple Store to try with a charger in the Apple Store.

Has nothing to do with charging. That is a different issue if your mac will not charge.

The speaker plug red light effects audio digital input/output mode—Yes this is a known mechanical issue from way back when...2015

the switch is stuck on— you can try inserting/ reinserting with some purpose to flip and effect the switch into compliance...

or use something non-metallic like a wooden tooth pick to poke around in that port to flip the mechanical switch— it is stuck on.
