Apple TV 4K 3rd Ed, Blue tint colour issue on a new TV

Apple TV 4K 3rd edition colour setting issue with new TV.

I purchased a new LG QNED84B TV the setup was easy. New Apple TV+ shows are great, I purchased The box set of Game of Thrones on Apple and the replay has a bluish tint. I played the same video on a Fire stick 4K and the picture was normal. So I know that the blue tint can be fixed. Some apps also have this blue tinge. What setting do I need to change to accomplish this?

I’d check the Apple TV video format first.

Go to Settings > Video and Audio > Format and try 4K SDR rather than forcing HDR or Dolby Vision. Then turn on Match Dynamic Range and Match Frame Rate under Match Content.

That usually gives the TV the original format of each movie or app instead of converting everything to one HDR mode, which can sometimes cause odd color casts.

If the blue tint is still there, I’d also compare the LG picture mode used for the Apple TV HDMI input with the one used by the Fire TV. TVs can store different picture settings for each input.
