My mackbook taking too much time to charge fully is it normal?

A charging time of 2½ hours cannot be assessed as normal or abnormal without knowing the battery percentage when charging began, the percentage reached, and the conditions during charging.

The MacBook Neo comes with a 20W USB-C Power Adapter and USB-C Charge Cable, and Apple states that the MacBook Neo requires at least 20W to charge.

With macOS 26.4 or later, including macOS 26.6.2, check the Battery menu and Battery settings for a “Slow Charger”message. Apple states that this message appears when the connected charging solution is providing less power than recommended for the Mac.

Also check Battery Health in Battery settings. Charging behaviour can be affected by battery-health features, and macOS may delay or limit charging under some conditions to help reduce battery aging.

If the MacBook is being used while charging, apps, connected devices, display brightness, and other power demands can reduce the rate at which the battery percentage increases. Charging can also be affected if the Mac is unusually warm or cold.

For a useful test, connect the MacBook directly to the 20W Apple power adapter, note the starting battery percentage, and leave the Mac idle or asleep while charging. Note the battery percentage after 2½ hours. This provides a much better basis for determining whether the charging rate is behaving as expected.

It depends on conditions such as your outlet voltage, battery health and percentage when beginning charge. Please provide more info and people will be able to help.

As per my experience, the charging depends on the voltage as well. If your supply voltage is low, like 90V or 100V, it slightly affects the charging time as well. Apple devices have a super advanced charging monitoring system. Any abnormal charging behaviour will slow down the charging or stop the charging.
