Apple Watch SE sensor failure: Will not track steps, Workouts, or Activity

DEFECTIVE UNIT

Purchased an Apple SE watch a year and half ago move sensors BROKE!

Will NOT come on when lift wrist

Will NOT track steps

Will NOT track workouts

Will NOT track activity

This is a hardware failure ! Nothing I have done PRODUCT DEFECT !

I had an older watch lasted 5 years then would shut off intermittently

Replaced with new unit and has now lasted less than 2 years!

ONLY option …buy new!? GREAT!

There are 2 types of people when it comes to purchasing AppleCare.

  • Those that do and are glad they did if a repair is needed, or at least gives them peace of mind in case of a failure.
  • Those that don't and wish they did if a repair is needed. Usually they always think it should be repaired anyway.


Electronic parts can fail at any time and for any reason where you may not have even caused it and that does not mean it is a Manufacturing Defect. That is the purpose of providing AppleCare.


Out of warranty repairs due to a manufacturing defect are listed in the Apple Service Program page and there is not one for the Apple Watch SE.
